The history of...Harviestoun Brewery

The history of the Harviestoun Brewery dates back to October 5th 1983, when Ken Brooker, the founder of the brewery, hosted one of his legendary tasting sessions. In the following years he keeps on brewing beers and have them tasted by friends and friends’ friends.

In 1986, a 200-year-old farm in Dollar is converted in a brewery. In 1991, they started their unpronounceable-beer-naming-strategy. No matter how confusing the names are, the beers are selling well, and in 2004 they have to move the brewery to a bigger place a few miles down the road.
